Tuyo Card
Holding your own keys, you can still spend USDC on Base at any Visa merchant through a virtual card in Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Tuyo Card: USDC on Base, Fees, Cashback And Visa Limits
What is Tuyo Card?
Tuyo Card is a self-custody Visa card that spends USDC on Base directly from your own wallet, with no monthly fee and no crypto custody handed to the company.

Tuyo Card Overview
Tuyo Card is a virtual Visa card that lives inside the Tuyo mobile app. It spends USDC held on the Base network, from a wallet you control. Tuyo never takes custody of your crypto. You hold the private keys, and the fiat side of things (turning your USDC into dollars a merchant can accept) runs through licensed partners, not through a Tuyo-owned bank account.
The idea is simple: keep your stablecoins in your own wallet, let them sit in a yield vault if you want, and spend them at normal Visa merchants without first moving funds onto a custodial exchange card. That gap, between self-custody and everyday spending, is the actual problem this product tries to close.
This card suits people who already hold USDC and don't like handing keys to an exchange. It also suits US residents, since a lot of competing crypto cards block the United States outright, and Tuyo lists the US as a supported market. Freelancers and remote workers paid in USD, EUR, or MXN can get some use out of it too, because the app issues virtual account numbers so incoming fiat converts into stablecoins under your name. LATAM and EU users who want a USD-based spend rail plus Apple Pay or Google Pay fit here as well, and so do DeFi users who want idle USDC earning something until they actually need to spend it. Skip it if you need a physical card right now, if you're in the UK (the company says its services aren't meant for people there), if you want fixed cashback instead of points, or if any smart contract risk in a yield vault is a dealbreaker for you.
Funding works across five chains: Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Polygon. Whatever you deposit converts to USDC on Base before it can hit the card, since that's the only asset the card actually spends. Stablecoin swaps and bridging skip the usual 0.25 percent trading fee, though network gas still applies. Once your USDC is on Base, you can park it in an Earn vault (Tuyo lists USDC, EURC, ETH, and BTC strategies) and keep it earning right up until a purchase posts, or you can turn that off and let the card touch only free, non-earning USDC.
Spending happens through a virtual Visa card added to Apple Pay or Google Pay. There's no plastic card yet (one is listed as coming), no ATM access, and no PIN. Tuyo's own FAQ puts the daily spend limit at up to $10,000 as a baseline, rising with account history, though you should check your live limit in the app rather than trust any number a review site quotes.
What sets it apart from a typical exchange card is the custody model: Tuyo can only pull up to your active daily limit when you authorize a purchase, and you can withdraw your crypto to an outside wallet even if card verification fails. There's also Buy Now Pay Maybe, a discretionary program where Tuyo sometimes covers a purchase after the fact. It is not published cashback, has no stated odds, and isn't available everywhere, so budget as if nothing will be covered and treat any free purchase as a bonus, not a rate.
Tuyo Card Key features
-
Self custody wallet
You hold the keys, not Tuyo. Tuyo can only pull up to your active daily card limit when you authorize a purchase, and you can withdraw crypto to an outside wallet even if card KYC fails.
-
USDC on Base spend
The card spends USDC that lives on Base. Other tokens or chains have to convert to Base USDC first before you can tap the card.
-
Visa virtual card
A virtual Visa you add to Apple Pay or Google Pay works at any Visa merchant. There's no physical card yet (it's listed as coming soon), no ATM access, and no PIN.
-
US support
Tuyo lists the US as a supported market, which sets it apart from many crypto cards that block American users. The UK is explicitly excluded.
-
Spend from Earn
USDC sitting in an eligible Earn vault can keep earning yield until a purchase posts, or you can turn this off so the card only touches uninvested USDC.
-
Earn yield on idle USDC
The official FAQ lists USDC, EURC, ETH, and BTC vaults with advertised peaks up to 11 percent APY after Tuyo's fee. Rates are variable and can drop or go negative, and yield comes from third party DeFi protocols.
-
Virtual bank account numbers
Through partner Bridge, you get USD, EUR, or MXN account details so payroll or client payments land and convert into stablecoins under your name. This is aimed at freelancers and remote workers.
-
Multi chain deposits
You can deposit on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, or Polygon, then convert to Base USDC inside the app to fund the card.
-
No fee stablecoin swaps
Stablecoin swaps and bridging into Base USDC skip the 0.25 percent volume fee that applies to other token trades. Network fees can still apply.
-
No monthly or annual fees
Card issuance, the monthly fee, and the annual fee are all $0, and USD purchases carry no card fee. Non-USD purchases carry an FX spread of up to about 1 percent.
-
TUYOs points
Activity across spend, trading, and Earn earns TUYOs points. They are not transferable and not a live token yet. Tuyo says a future token launch will allocate at least 20 percent of supply to users, but that's a company statement, not a guaranteed reward.
-
Buy Now Pay Maybe
A discretionary program where Tuyo sometimes covers part of a purchase after the fact. There's no published rate or odds, and it's unavailable in some US states and territories, so don't count on it as regular cashback.
-
Regulated fiat and card partners
Fiat rails run through Bridge Ventures, a licensed US money transmitter, and cards are issued through Rain and partner institutions. Tuyo itself is not a bank or a custodian.
Tuyo Card Fees
-
Issuance and monthly fees Card issuance, monthly fee, and annual fee are all $0.
-
USD purchases USD card purchases carry a 0 percent card fee.
-
FX spread Non USD card purchases carry an FX spread of up to about 1 percent.
-
Token trade fee Trades of tokens other than stablecoins carry a 0.25 percent volume fee, or the network fee if that is higher; stablecoin trades and bridging skip this 0.25 percent fee, though network fees can still apply.
-
Earn performance fee Tuyo takes a 10 percent performance fee on Earn yield, and the displayed APY already accounts for it.

How to use Tuyo Card
-
Download the Tuyo app
Get Tuyo from the Apple App Store or Google Play and start the signup flow.
-
Set up your self-custody wallet
Create the wallet inside the app and store your recovery material offline. Tuyo never holds your keys, so this backup is on you.
-
Complete KYC verification
Submit clear identity documents to unlock the card and fiat rails. Some occupations and regions can fail this check, and you can still withdraw crypto to an external wallet even if it does.
-
Fund your wallet
Deposit USDC or another supported asset on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, or Polygon, then convert it to USDC on Base if it is not already there. You can also park it in Earn if you accept vault risk, or keep it liquid.
-
Request your virtual Visa card
Once verification clears, request the card and add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay if your wallet provider supports it. There is no plastic card yet, so mobile wallet access is how you tap in stores.
-
Spend and manage your limit
Pay at Visa merchants online or in store, and watch your daily spend limit, which starts at up to $10,000 and can rise with account history. Turn off Earn spend first if you want the card to touch only free USDC.

I use an app called Tuyo, it's a debit card that you add to your Apple Pay and sometimes it just covers your purchases all together.

I had gotten about $300 free so far in free purchases. -
If Tuyo offers PIX deposits/withdrawals, USDT on other networks, a physical card, and LATAM support, it will outperform any competitor in Latin America. I'm using it and want to run campaigns to promote it.🔥

Tuyo Card Review
Pros
- You keep your private keys, so Tuyo never takes custody of your USDC.
- There is no card issuance fee, no monthly fee, and no annual fee.
- US residents can get this card while many competing crypto cards block the United States.
- USDC parked in Earn can keep earning yield right up until a purchase posts.
- Converting supported deposits into Base USDC carries no Tuyo volume fee.
- You can add the card to Apple Pay or Google Pay and skip waiting for plastic.
- Virtual account numbers in USD, EUR, or MXN let payroll or invoices convert straight into stablecoins.
- You can withdraw your crypto to an outside wallet even if card KYC fails.
Cons
- The card is virtual only, so a dead phone blocks you from paying in store.
- There is no ATM access and no PIN, so you cannot pull out cash.
- Non-USD purchases carry an FX spread of up to about 1 percent.
- Buy Now Pay Maybe is a discretionary promo with unpublished odds, not real cashback.
- Earn yield is variable and comes with smart contract risk, plus Tuyo takes a 10 percent performance fee.
- TUYOs points are not transferable and have no confirmed value until a token launch that is still just a promise.
- The card is blocked in the UK and Buy Now Pay Maybe does not work in some US states.
- The team is small and no public funding amount is confirmed, which is thin backing for a card holding your spending money.

Is Tuyo Card safe & legit?
Tuyo Card is run by Tuyo Inc., a Delaware fintech founded by ex-Aragon co-founder Jorge Izquierdo and Alejandro Perezpayá, with fiat rails from licensed money transmitter Bridge and card issuance through Rain, so the legal setup looks real rather than a fly-by-night operation. Your balance stays self-custody: it is USDC on Base sitting in a wallet you control, and Tuyo can only pull funds up to your active card limit when you spend, not the whole balance.
I don't see hard red flags here, just normal crypto-fintech risk: smart contract exposure if you use Earn, no FDIC insurance, and a card that's virtual-only for now (no ATM, no physical plastic yet). Lose your seed phrase and nobody, including Tuyo, can get your money back.

we just shipped the best transfers experience in all of finance.
pick what the recipient gets: money in their bank, any token or a tokenized stock. then you pick how you fund it: anything you hold in tuyo, whether it’s sitting in your balance or still earning in a vault.
under the hood, tuyo withdraws, converts and sends atomically as needed. to you, it’s one swipe up. no pulling money out first, no swapping, no moving balances around before sending.

i almost cancelled bolt ride earlier because price was double normal lisbon cab
then @itstuyo covered entire ride
€11 free
ive never seen bank give loyalty like this
this is probably cryptos best path to winning users first
not with theory
not with complicated wallets
but with aggressive rewards that people feel instantly
