Polymarket Trading Bots

Polymarket trading bots automate execution: copying wallets, sniping entries, hedging correlated markets, and rebalancing positions as the odds move. They connect through Polymarket's CLOB API and run on Polygon, either as hosted services or as Telegram bots you drive from your phone. Active traders use them to hold positions they could never watch by hand, and to react in the seconds after news breaks instead of the minutes.

Polymarket Trading Bots

A bot does the parts of trading you cannot sit and do yourself: watching hundreds of wallets, copying a position the second it opens, rebalancing as the odds move, holding both legs of a hedge across correlated markets.

Copy trading is the most common use. Every Polymarket wallet is public, so a bot can rank traders by their settled record rather than their screenshots, then mirror the ones that hold up. Most let you filter by market type, liquidity and position size before anything gets placed.

Rule-based bots suit traders who already have a thesis and want it executed without hesitating halfway. You set the conditions, price, probability range, category, and the order goes in when they are met. That covers arbitrage legs, mean reversion, and quoting both sides of the liquid events.

How to choose a Polymarket trading bot

What actually separates one from another, before you connect anything.

  • Custody

This is the first question, not the fifth. A bot that places orders for you needs signing rights over the wallet holding your funds. Decide whether you are comfortable with that before you compare features, and if you are, fund a fresh wallet with only what the bot is meant to trade.

  • Automated or advisory

Some tools execute on their own, others send you a signal and wait. Signal-only tools never touch your wallet, which removes the custody question entirely, at the cost of you being awake when the signal fires.

  • Strategy fit

Copy trading, sniping, market making and scheduled rebalancing are different pieces of software. A bot built to mirror wallets will not quote a two-sided book, and one built for market making will not follow a trader.

  • Open or closed source

Open-source bots can be read before you connect anything, and run on your own machine. Closed platforms are usually easier to start with and ask you to trust the operator instead.

  • Where it runs

A hosted bot keeps trading when your laptop is shut, and a self-hosted one keeps your keys off someone else's server. Telegram bots sit in between and are the fastest to try.

  • Proof it works

Ask for a track record you can check on-chain rather than a screenshot. Polymarket wallets are public, so a real one can always be verified.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask before picking trading bots.

Can you use trading bots on Polymarket?

Yes. Polymarket runs a public central limit order book with an API, so third-party software can place, cancel and manage orders the same way the website does. Everything listed here works through that API rather than by automating the site in a browser.

What is the best Polymarket trading bot?

It depends entirely on what you want automated. For following other traders, a copy-trading bot that watches wallets is the right shape. For quoting both sides of a market, you want something built around the order book. For reacting to news, speed of detection matters more than anything else. The listings above are grouped so you can compare within a use case rather than across all of them.

Are Polymarket trading bots safe?

The risk is almost entirely about custody. A bot that only reads data or sends alerts cannot lose your money. A bot that executes trades needs permission to move funds, and that permission is as strong as the operator is trustworthy. Use a separate wallet funded with a set amount, prefer code you or someone else can audit, and treat any tool asking for a seed phrase as disqualified.

Do Polymarket bots support backtesting?

Some do. Because resolved markets and historical prices are available through the API, replaying a strategy is possible, but not every tool builds it in. If testing before risking capital matters to you, check for it specifically rather than assuming.

Do I need to know how to code?

No, though it widens the choice. Telegram and hosted bots are configured through menus. The open-source frameworks are Python libraries that expect you to write the strategy yourself, which is more work and gives you far more control.
