Sonist is live mention trading software for Kalshi and Polymarket. It targets markets that pay when a person says a set word or phrase during a defined time window.

You choose a market and connect a live audio source, such as a stream, microphone, or browser tab. The service creates a live transcript, checks it against the market keyword, then sends an immediate-or-cancel order when it detects a match. You can review transcripts, signals, skipped orders, fills, and session P&L.

Sonist is for traders who lose time hearing speech-based market triggers late, plus desks that track earnings calls, FOMC events, interviews, or press conferences. Speaker filters help separate the target person from hosts or guests. How to use Sonist

  1. Create an account

    Go to sonist.tech and create an account. Use the free plan to browse approved markets and request an admin approved demo session.

  2. Review the market rules

    Open Markets and select an approved mention contract. Read its official rules to confirm the exact word, speaker, audio source, and resolution window.

  3. Prepare your venue account

    Open and fund a Kalshi account or a Polymarket wallet that you control. Confirm that you can use the venue in your region and have the required USD or Polygon assets.

  4. Connect your credentials

    Authorize Sonist to place and cancel orders on your chosen account. Use a dedicated trading account, restrict permissions where possible, and do not grant withdrawal access.

  5. Choose your audio source

    Attach a stream URL, device microphone, or browser tab audio. Confirm that the feed matches the source named in the market rules.

  6. Set exact keywords

    Enter the exact word or phrase from the resolution rules. Add close variants only when the rules allow them.

  7. Gate the target speaker

    On Pro, name the speaker whose words count for the contract. Turn on speaker gating so other voices cannot trigger an order.

  8. Set trade controls

    Choose your order size, session length, and panic sell settings. Start with the smallest size the venue allows.

  9. Start before the event

    Start the session before the relevant speech or broadcast begins. Check that the live transcript and audio feed work before the target phrase appears.

  10. Monitor the session

    Watch the transcript, keyword detections, orders, and fills as the event runs. Stop the session if the transcript lags, the audio repeats a clip, or Sonist assigns the wrong speaker.

  11. Review the activity trail

    After the event, inspect the transcript tail, detections, skipped orders, fills, and P&L summary. Compare each trade with the market rules and the recorded audio.

  12. Revoke access

    Revoke Sonist's API or wallet access when you finish if you do not plan to leave the session armed. Keep funds in the dedicated account and remove unused permissions.
