Rizon Card Overview

Rizon Card is a Visa Platinum spending card linked to a user-controlled wallet in the Rizon app. You fund the wallet with USDC or USDT on supported networks, then spend at Visa merchants, online services, and some ATMs. The card uses your stablecoin balance as collateral, so it does not work like a credit card.

The card suits freelancers, remote workers, travelers, creators, and stablecoin holders who need to spend digital dollars without first sending them to a bank. It may suit people who struggle to get a US issued Visa. It is less suitable if you need a full bank account, deposit insurance, or refuse passport KYC.

You can add funds on supported chains, or use partner ACH or SEPA details where the app provides them. You can request a virtual card and add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay. Plastic is available for chip payments and ATM use, but the current price is not published in one fixed figure. Check the app before ordering.

USD purchases at US merchants are listed as fee free. The published non-USD rate is 1.7% plus $0.10, or about 1.02% with Emerald. ATM fees, card prices, plan costs, and cashback terms can vary, so check the live fee screen. Rizon lists tiered RizPoints rewards, with rates reported as high as 5%, but the highest rate is not a guaranteed return for every cardholder or purchase.

The main difference is the self-custody stablecoin wallet. You spend USDC or USDT directly from a wallet you control, while Visa and payment partners handle merchant settlement in local currency. That setup gives stablecoin holders a direct spending route, but the card still depends on partner approval and Visa rules.

Rizon Card Key features

  • USDC and USDT spending

Load USDC or USDT into the Rizon wallet, then spend at Visa merchants and ATMs. Card payments use your stablecoin balance as collateral rather than a credit line.

  • Self-custody wallet

Privy creates a smart contract wallet that you control. Rizon says it cannot freeze the on-chain balance like a custodial exchange, but you must protect your recovery access.

  • Virtual Visa Platinum

After identity checks, you can request a virtual Visa for online payments and subscriptions. You can add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay.

  • Physical Visa card

You can order plastic with chip, PIN, and contactless payments. The card can also support ATM cash withdrawals, but the current price is not published consistently.

  • Visa merchant access

Use the card at merchants and ATMs that accept Visa. Rizon markets coverage across more than 120 countries, but partner checks and local Visa rules can affect availability.

  • USD card spending

The published fee schedule lists USD purchases at US merchants as free.

  • Foreign currency spending

The published standard fee is 1.7% plus $0.10 for non-USD card spending. The fee is about 1.02% with Emerald, and the app quote should be checked before payment.

  • Apple Pay and Google Pay

The virtual card can be added to Apple Pay or Google Pay for contactless payments.

  • ACH and SEPA funding

Partner bank details may let eligible users fund the wallet through ACH in the US or SEPA in the EU. Availability depends on what Rizon shows in the app.

  • Multi-chain deposits

The official FAQ lists Solana and EVM networks such as Polygon, Base, and Arbitrum. Other pages also list Ethereum, Optimism, BNB Chain, and Avalanche for USDC or USDT deposits.

  • Free user transfers

Transfers between Rizon users in the app are free. External on-chain sends and withdrawals carry a network fee plus 0.1%.

  • RizPoints cashback

Published review tables list cashback tiers from 0% to 5%, with the top rate tied to Diamond. Rates, limits, and eligibility can vary, so the live app terms matter.

  • In-app card controls

The app includes card lock, unlock, PIN access, and multiple virtual card numbers. Rizon says it has no current company-set spending limit, while user-set limits are planned.

  • PayPal support

Rizon's official FAQ says users can add the card to PayPal. PayPal and merchant policies can still affect whether a payment works.

  • No bank deposit insurance

Rizon Global does not hold user balances or operate as a bank. The stablecoin wallet has no bank-style deposit insurance, and Rain or the card issuer can still decline or close the card account.

Rizon Card Fees

  • USD purchases Rizon charges no fee for USD card purchases on its published schedule.
  • Non USD purchases Rizon charges 1.7% + $0.10 standard, reduced to about 1.02% with the paid Emerald subscription.
  • Card issuance Check the app for current issuance fees: public sources have listed the first virtual card as free, $1 promotional or $10, while physical card prices depend on the plan and promotion.
  • ATM withdrawals Rizon does not publish a single fixed ATM fee; testers reported $1 + 0.65%, older pages cited 2% + $3, and ATM operators may charge extra.
  • Transfers and withdrawals Rizon charges no fee for transfers to another Rizon user and charges a network fee + 0.1% for international or on chain sends and withdrawals.

Rizon Card Supported networks

  • Polygon
  • Base
  • Arbitrum
  • Ethereum
  • Optimism
  • BNB Chain
  • Avalanche

How to use Rizon Card

  1. Create your account

Install the official Rizon app from the iOS App Store or Google Play. Sign up with your email and secure your account with biometrics or a passkey.

  2. Verify your identity

Complete the passport KYC and liveness checks in the app.

  3. Back up your wallet

Back up your wallet recovery material offline before you add funds. You control the wallet keys and are responsible for recovery access.

  4. Fund your wallet

Deposit USDC or USDT on a supported chain, or use partner ACH or SEPA details if shown in your app. Check the network gas cost before an on chain deposit.

  5. Request your virtual card

After identity approval, check the current virtual card price in the app and request your Visa. Add the card to Apple Pay or Google Pay if you want to pay by phone.

  6. Make your first payment

Use your virtual card online at a merchant that accepts Visa, or tap your phone where the merchant accepts Apple Pay or Google Pay. Check the FX quote in the app before you confirm a non USD payment.

Just booked and paid for my stay in Dubai (Rove Expo City) directly using my Rizon Visa card. Instant transaction right from my wallet balance, with zero stress over local FX conversions (USD to AED). Earned +34.32 Rizpoints on this single transaction.

Rizon Card Review

Pros

  • You control the wallet keys rather than handing custody to Rizon.
  • Rizon lists no card fee for USD purchases at US merchants.
  • You can spend USDC or USDT without first transferring funds to a bank.
  • You can add the virtual card to Apple Pay or Google Pay.
  • You can send funds to other Rizon users in the app for free.
  • Rizon charges no account maintenance fee.
  • You can withdraw cash at Visa ATMs with the physical card.

Cons

  • Non-USD purchases carry a published 1.7% fee plus $0.10 without Emerald.
  • Cashback depends on paid tiers, and some plans may cap rewards near the monthly fee.
  • Physical card pricing can reach about $50 on the free plan, but the live price is not fixed publicly.
  • ATM fees and withdrawal limits differ across public sources, and the current official fee page does not publish one fixed ATM fee.
  • The wallet has no bank deposit insurance, and you can lose funds if you lose recovery access.
  • Rain and the card issuer can decline transactions, close the payment account, or block jurisdictions.
  • Public fee pages sometimes lag behind the prices shown in the app.
  • The card requires passport KYC and liveness checks, so it does not suit people who refuse identity checks.

Our verdict

I'd carry Rizon Card for USD spending if I already held stablecoins. You control wallet keys, but card partners can still decline payments. Rizon lists standard FX fees of 1.7% + $0.10, and 1.7% for conversions. I can't calculate all-in costs without unpublished spread details and current card fees. I'd reconsider if those costs outweighed the convenience, regardless of headline cashback.

Rizon funding

  • Founded by Rizon was founded by Ignas Survila, a consumer product founder based in Vilnius, and Laurynas Jokubaitis, who has prior crypto product and investment experience.
  • Pre-seed - Feb 2026 Rizon raised $2 million in a pre-seed round led by Market One Capital.

Is Rizon Card safe & legit?

Rizon Card appears legitimate. Rizon Global, Inc. runs the app, founded by Ignas Survila and Laurynas Jokubaitis, with backing from Market One Capital; Rain handles card services, Privy provides the wallet infrastructure, and Third National is named as the issuer.

The wallet is self-custody, so Rizon does not hold your stablecoin balance, but Rain or the issuer can still decline transactions or close the card account. No major red flags are known, though fee details vary by source, cashback may have limits, and the wallet has no bank deposit insurance.
