Startale Card Overview

Startale Card Key features

• Self custody

  You keep control of your funds until payment settlement. You do not need to move funds into an issuer wallet before you spend.

• Visa merchant payments

  Startale states that users will be able to pay at more than 150 million Visa merchants with eligible Soneium balances. At checkout, users pay in local currency through conversion of their onchain balance.

• Yield until settlement

  Startale plans to let users keep eligible assets in yield vaults until a purchase settles. The vaults are part of a planned Startale App upgrade.

• USDSC cashback

  Users will receive cashback in USDSC, Startale's dollar stablecoin, in their app account. Startale has not published the cashback rate.

• Startale App access

  You can create a smart wallet or connect an existing EVM wallet in the Startale App. You can also reserve your card and check your waitlist rank there.

• Waitlist priority

  Startale uses a STAR Points snapshot and confirmed referrals to set waitlist rank, with daily updates. A friend must sign up and reserve a card for the referral to count.

• Early access reservations

  You can reserve a card in the app after email verification, and Startale plans to issue cards to higher-ranked users first. The card remains waitlist only, and Startale has not published a full fee schedule or complete country list.

How to use Startale Card

1. 1

   Set up your wallet

   Open app.startale.com and create a smart wallet or connect an existing EVM wallet.

2. 2

   Verify your email

   Complete account setup and email verification inside the Startale App. Startale has not published KYC requirements or identity verification steps.

3. 3

   Reserve your card

   Open the Startale Card section, tap "Reserve Your Card" and confirm your email to validate the reservation. You must wait for issuance before you can pay; Startale has not fully published launch timing or eligible regions.

4. 4

   Prepare your Soneium balance

   Hold eligible assets on Soneium for card payments, with custody under your control until settlement. Startale has not published detailed card funding instructions.

5. 5

   Make your first payment

   Once Startale issues your card, pay at a Visa merchant; your eligible balance converts to local currency at checkout. Startale credits cashback in USDSC to your account, but has not published the cashback rate.

  250K+ people are waiting for a Startale Card. That number caught my attention because the interesting part isn't simply the size of the waitlist. It's what people are waiting to use it for. Startale is trying to make the gap between holding assets onchain and actually spending them in everyday life much smaller.
