NectarFi crypto card: Solana stablecoins and fees

NectarFi Card Overview

NectarFi Card Key features

• Visa card preorder

  You can preorder a NectarFi Visa card, but card payments are not live yet. NectarFi has not published card issuance or FX fees.

• Self custody wallet

  You control assets through smart contracts in the Solana app, with embedded wallets from Privy. NectarFi is not a licensed bank, and you still face smart contract and partner risks.

• Stablecoin balances

  You can deposit local fiat or stablecoins and hold digital dollar or euro balances in the app. Card spending remains planned until the Visa card launches.

• Foreign payment accounts

  Clients can pay you through virtual USD and EUR accounts without using NectarFi. NectarFi lists a 1% receive fee for this route in its Play Store copy.

• Cross border transfers

  You can send to another NectarFi user by name or share a payment link that recipients can claim to a bank or mobile wallet without installing the app. NectarFi says it uses mid market exchange rates and shows the rate before you confirm.

• Flexible or locked savings

  You can move app balances into flexible or locked savings products and check the yield in your dashboard. Returns depend on the product, so check the current terms before you commit funds.

• In app investing

  You can trade Solana assets and access tokenized stocks through partners in the app. These are investments, separate from card payments.

• Activity based credit

  NectarFi uses income regularity and savings activity to build a Trust Score. The company plans to use it for future DeFi credit through Kamino, but you cannot use it for a live bank loan today.

NectarFi Card Fees

• Virtual account receipts NectarFi lists a 1% fee for receiving funds into virtual USD or EUR accounts in its Play Store copy.
• App currency exchange NectarFi claims mid-market FX rates and shows the rate in the app before you confirm.
• Card issuance fee NectarFi has not published issuance fees for the Visa card, which is available for pre-order only.
• Card FX fees NectarFi has not published FX fees for Visa card spending.
• Remittance fees NectarFi does not list an exact remittance fee on its marketing site; check the quote in the app before you confirm.

How to use NectarFi Card

1. 1

   Create your account

   Download NectarFi from the App Store or Google Play, then sign up with your email and phone number. Privy creates your self custodial wallet in the background.

2. 2

   Verify your identity

   Complete the in-app ID flow through Sumsub if you want fiat deposits or higher limits.

3. 3

   Fund your account

   Deposit through a supported local bank transfer or send stablecoins to your NectarFi wallet. Check the quote before you confirm, since NectarFi has not published a full fee schedule.

4. 4

   Preorder your card

   Choose a Visa card option in NectarFi and place your preorder. The card is not live yet, and NectarFi has not published issuance or card FX fees.

5. 5

   Activate after shipment

   Wait for your card to ship, then activate it. NectarFi has not published the exact activation steps.

6. 6

   Make your first payment

   Once the card is live and you have activated it, use it at a merchant that accepts Visa. You cannot make a Visa card payment while the card remains in preorder.
