TickFoundry Overview

TickFoundry is a Polymarket historical data product for researchers and trading bot builders who need to test strategies against recorded order book depth. You can replay market activity and estimate slippage before you commit money to a trade.

Pick a market and a UTC date, then download Parquet or CSV files. Paid users can also pull bundles through a REST API. Explorer costs $89 per month and includes 10 levels of order book depth. Premium costs $199 per month, with 25 level L2 order book history and on chain fills from Polygon. Premium users also get Binance and Chainlink reference prices for comparisons with crypto prediction markets.

The draw is tick level depth history, which you cannot get through Polymarket's public historical price endpoints. You can study individual book updates alongside the trade tape without running your own collectors. Book coverage starts on May 11, 2026, so check your dates before paying. Try the free sample first. Explorer and Premium are for personal use; commercial work requires a custom plan.

TickFoundry Key features

  • Tick level history

You can replay quote changes and individual trades rather than rely on candle averages. Polymarket order book capture starts on 11 May 2026, with coverage varying by market.

  • Historical order books

Study 25 levels of bids and asks on every update with Premium or above. Explorer includes 10 levels per side.

  • On chain fills

With Premium or Professional, you can check settled Polygon fills against the trade tape and study wallet activity. Coverage reaches back to August 2023 for some markets, with fewer records in the early years.

  • Downloadable data files

Load market day bundles as Parquet or CSV, with nanosecond receive timestamps. Use the reference dictionary to match token IDs to market questions and outcomes.

  • REST API access

On Explorer and above, you can request and download market day bundles through REST. Explorer allows 150 downloads per day; Premium allows unlimited downloads under fair use.

  • Whole venue access

Paid subscribers can choose any available market day across the catalog without buying access to specific markets in advance. For a single date, you can also pay $2 for L1 or $4 for full depth without a subscription.

  • Dual region capture

The TickFoundry team records the feed in two regions, checks sequence numbers, and fills gaps with data from the second collector. Professional users can also access raw websocket messages to rebuild books themselves.

  • Perpetual futures data

Premium and Professional subscribers can access Polymarket perpetual futures books and trades, plus funding and open interest records. Capture starts on 31 July 2026; Explorer users pay extra for access.

  • Reference price feeds

Compare prediction prices with Binance and Chainlink data on Premium or Professional. You also get 30 second and 60 second time weighted average prices used by crypto up or down markets.

  • Scheduled data delivery

Premium subscribers can collect files through SFTP with hourly updates. Professional and Enterprise customers can use dedicated S3 delivery and request hourly or faster delivery.

  • Free sample access

Download a full BTC Up or Down 4h market day without an account, including an hour of raw websocket messages to check against the files. A free account gives you five more market days to test.

TickFoundry Fees

  • Free access You get 5 market days for personal use with a free account, without REST API access.
  • Explorer plan Explorer costs $89 USD per month or $66.75 per month with a lifetime founder discount; you can add live feeds for $10 per month and perps for $29 per month.
  • Premium plan You pay $199 USD per month for Premium, or $149.25 per month with a lifetime founder discount, with perps and spot feeds included.
  • Commercial plans Contact TickFoundry for custom Professional or Enterprise pricing and a commercial license.
  • Single day purchases You can buy a single market day for $2 USD for L1 or $4 USD for full depth, without a subscription.

How to use TickFoundry

  1. Download the free sample

Open tickfoundry.com and download the BTC Up or Down 4h sample for 19 August 2026 in Parquet or CSV format. You do not need an account.

  2. Check the sample files

Read README.md and the reference dictionary, then load the book and trade files in pandas or DuckDB. Compare the L2 data with the included hour of raw websocket messages to check the recorded updates.

  3. Create a free account

Sign up for a free account to claim five market days from the catalog. Use these days to test data for the markets you want to study.

  4. Pick a market day

Search the catalog by series or event and select a UTC date. Check coverage for that market and date before you request the files.

  5. Choose your access

Claim a free day, buy a single market day, or choose a subscription, with Explorer for 10 levels of depth and Premium for 25 levels plus on chain fills. For commercial work, contact TickFoundry about Professional or Enterprise before you use the files in a product or client report.

  6. Save your API key

If you want REST access, choose Explorer or above and create an API key in the dashboard. Save it securely when you create it, because you can view it only once.

  7. Request your bundle

Request the selected market day through the dashboard or REST API. If you use REST, poll the staging job until the bundle is ready, then download or stream it.

  8. Prepare the data

Read the bundle README for coverage gaps, then load the files and match book data with trades using condition_id and token_id. Sort rows by ts_recv_ns to reconstruct the book at the time you want to study.

  9. Add related feeds

On Premium or Professional, download on chain fills if you need wallet level trade data. For crypto research, pull the relevant perpetual futures or spot feeds for the same time window.

  10. Set up recurring delivery

For repeat downloads, use SFTP on Premium or arrange a dedicated bucket on Professional or Enterprise. Keep file hashes for any data you use in published research.

Is TickFoundry safe & legit?

TickFoundry appears legitimate: UK-registered VP HUB LTD operates it, with Maciej Sokolowski listed as a director, independently of Polymarket. Few independent reviews exist, so its reputation in the Polymarket community is still unproven. You do not entrust the vendor with trading funds, but check data gaps and license limits before paying, especially if you need data for commercial use.
